I want to say once again that you know your stuff, creator. How did you get to be so well versed with Machiavelli's work and life? (Because I am confident you know him beyond the realm of AC, thank goodness.)
Also, if you haven't already picked up this book, I'm certain it would be of great interest to you. "The Artist, the Philosopher, and the Warrior", by Paul Strathern. I'm sure you can name the three folks to which the author is referring. I've only started reading it, but if you've read it, have you any thoughts on it?

My familiarity with Machiavelli is more…personal research based? We touched briefly on it during a politics/war&peace style module in my last year of university, but I’ve had no formal tutoring. I read and research in my spare time, really. Occasionally I wing it and hope my personal philosophy can fill in the gaps, based on an understanding of Machiavelli’s general musings throughout his ‘non standard’ works— i.e: outside of the Prince and his stereotype.
Because ultimately Machiavelli was not really very Machiavellian.
