Why do you all ask me about Messer Machiavelli? I don’t know anything about him. He is a very busy man and we don’t talk much and he doesn’t visit the brothel.
I wouldn’t be surprised if my current occupation disgusts him.
(( if you’re asking about our ask-mack-daddy-velli, I have not seen him around in a long time. I hope he comes back soon, he is one of my favorites! ))
((Ahhhh, I am here; I’m sorry. I am being guilt tripped into doing nothing but job searching atm, and don’t have much time for finishing asks :c I hate it! But I will try and sneak on tonight and rectify it! I’m so sorry ._.))
Dropping by again, heh.
I want to say once again that you know your stuff, creator. How did you get to be so well versed with Machiavelli's work and life? (Because I am confident you know him beyond the realm of AC, thank goodness.)
Also, if you haven't already picked up this book, I'm certain it would be of great interest to you. "The Artist, the Philosopher, and the Warrior", by Paul Strathern. I'm sure you can name the three folks to which the author is referring. I've only started reading it, but if you've read it, have you any thoughts on it?
My familiarity with Machiavelli is more…personal research based? We touched briefly on it during a politics/war&peace style module in my last year of university, but I’ve had no formal tutoring. I read and research in my spare time, really. Occasionally I wing it and hope my personal philosophy can fill in the gaps, based on an understanding of Machiavelli’s general musings throughout his ‘non standard’ works— i.e: outside of the Prince and his stereotype.
Because ultimately Machiavelli was not really very Machiavellian.
I haven’t read it, no! But I think I will pick it up now c:
Thank you for your kind words <3
Pretty sure you've always wanted to see me naked.. Well.. I'm feeling pretty adventurous today so go to datelink6(dot)com (switch [dot] with .) then sign up and find my profile under the username 'lolsummer69'. I hid my face in the pictures. but I want you to guess who I am and then hit me up on Facebook lol. Good luck.
They say third time’s a charm, anon, but unfortunately not with you.
((OOC: Unless you are Willy Cartier, in which case we can talk.))
Niccolo ditched me.
/punching a table with every word
THAT. MAN. WILL. PAY.
What are you on about, woman? I’m right here.
((OOC: So I realised too late that I hadn’t drawn Machiavelli’s prom…outfit. And it is currently 12am over here, so I cannot get on my desktop and risk waking my mother.
…so have this travesty.
And here I was hoping I wouldn’t do Machiavelli a disservice…))
Oh! Prom is today.
((Ehm, could someone draw Caterina and Machiavelli? Please))
If you just honed your drawing abilities, perhaps you could do it yourself.
((…I’m not someone who draws. I’m someone who writes.))
((I just drew you so far, like I said :/ Not sure when ‘Velli turns up and if he drew himself??))
(( Beats me. But thank you for drawing me! I really appreciate it. :) ))
((I can draw us both, if you need— Prom date desu))
I’m split in two about this prom
Half of me thinks Niccolo will accompany me.
The other half thinks that it will blow over his head.
((wait, the prom is now?? Kasagsdafxsdh some of us don’t live in the US timezone ffff))
I’m going to prom dateless?
It’s a bit…unexpected that I have no one to take me, but it isn’t the first time I’ve been alone.
Madonna, I would be willing to offer myself, if you’d have me.
((OOC: Excuse me whilst I be a total dweeb))
Roma does not have the air of philosophical understanding that one finds in Firenze.
